High in the Dolomites, time moves differently.

Le Graal Cortina sits within a reimagined 1920s palazzo in the heart of the Dolomites, an intimate alpine hotel where history is reinterpreted through a modern lens. Designed by Achille Salvagni, the hotel comprises thirty rooms, including thirteen suites, each opening directly onto sweeping views of the mountains surrounding Cortina, bringing the landscape into constant view. Interiors are warm, luminous, and deeply tactile, animated by bespoke furnishings and the knowing details that reveal themselves slowly, if you’re paying attention. Light pours in. The mountains answer back.

Guided by proportion, light, and the dialogue between craft and innovation, Achille Salvagni brings his singular language of sensual modernism to the alpine context. Mountain hospitality is reimagined as a living artwork, with spaces composed for contemplation and comfort rather than display. Deep woods, jewel-toned velvets, and softly diffused light shape an atmosphere that feels intimate, composed, and quietly expressive, transforming each room into a private sanctuary and an understated expression of Italian artistry.

The atmosphere is serene, enveloping, and unmistakably of its place, spoken in the language of stone, wood, proportion, and pause.

Rather than quoting the Alps, the design listens to them. Geometry and materiality carry the memory of Cortina and its valleys, moving easily between elegance and ease, contemplation and comfort, with a subtle sense of play. The genius loci is a presence, quietly guiding the dialogue between memory and modernity.

Wellness is conceived as a sensorial journey, encompassing an indoor pool, sauna, hammam, plunge pool, dedicated treatment rooms, and a private Spa Suite with fireplace. These spaces are intended for restoration, privacy, and unhurried time.

The fine-dining restaurant, led by Chef Giovanni Guarneri of Ristorante Don Camillo in Ortigia, approaches Italian and Sicilian traditions with affection and intelligence, rooted in respect for ingredients, animated by curiosity, and never weighed down by reverence. Café Le Graal sets a more relaxed tempo from morning to evening, where espresso, pastry, aperitivo, and conversation flow with equal importance.
